Road freight from Spain to Brno and Moravia
A full truck from Spain reaches Brno in roughly 2–4 days: about 3 days from Barcelona (approx. 1,950 km) and 3–4 days from Madrid (approx. 2,450 km). We deliver in Brno and anywhere in Moravia, from a single pallet to a full 13.6 m trailer. No customs formalities apply; the goods travel on a commercial invoice and a CMR note.
How long does freight take from Spain to Brno?
It depends on the collection region: Catalonia is closest to Moravia and southern Spain the furthest away. The table applies to full loads and counts from the collection day to the delivery day in Brno.
| Collection region | Distance to Brno (approx.) | Full truck |
|---|---|---|
| Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona | 1,900–2,000 km | about 3 days |
| Zaragoza, Navarre, Basque Country | 2,050–2,150 km | 3 days |
| Castellón, Valencia, Murcia | 2,200–2,500 km | 3–4 days |
| Madrid area | 2,450 km | 3–4 days |
| Andalusia (Seville, Málaga) | 2,900–3,000 km | 4 days |
For Zlín, Olomouc or Ostrava, add 80–170 km – usually still a same-day delivery, just a few hours later. Single pallets on groupage normally take 5–7 working days.
Which route does the truck take from Spain to Moravia?

There are three usual routes from Spain to Brno, and they differ little in length. We pick the one on which the truck is carrying other consignments:
- Via Germany and Prague – Perpignan, Lyon, Basel, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Prague and then the D1 to Brno. Useful when the truck also delivers in Bohemia.
- Via Munich and Vienna – from Lyon through Switzerland or southern Germany to Munich, then Linz, Vienna and the border crossing near Mikulov. It avoids the D1 and gives the most direct approach to southern Brno.
- Via northern Italy – Marseille, Genoa or Turin, Milan, Villach and Vienna. Used when the truck picks up goods in Italy on the way.
What is most often shipped from Spain to Moravia?
A large share is wall and floor tiles from the Castellón area, bound for Moravian builders’ merchants and bathroom showrooms. Then come food products – olive oil, tinned goods, wine – furniture, textiles, parts for engineering and automotive firms, and stock for online retailers with warehouses near Brno. Tiles are heavy, so a trailer often reaches its weight limit before it runs out of pallet spaces; please include the weight in your enquiry.
Which vehicle suits your volume?
- 1–6 pallets – groupage. The pallets share the truck with other consignments and you pay only for their space.
- 7–18 pallets – part load, often combined with another consignment for Moravia or Vienna.
- From about 18 pallets or 7 t – full truck with a 13.6 m trailer for 33 Euro pallets, running straight to you.
Where in Moravia do we deliver goods from Spain?
Most often to the logistics and industrial parks on the edges of Brno and along the D1, D2 and D52 motorways, as well as to manufacturers and wholesalers throughout Moravia and Silesia and in western Slovakia. Builders’ merchants and smaller firms often have no loading dock – in that case we book a curtainsider that can be unloaded from the side by forklift, or a van with a tail lift for lighter pallets. Tell us what handling equipment you have on site and we will choose the vehicle to match.
What to watch at collection in Spain

- Many Spanish warehouses close for lunch and release goods in the afternoon only until a set time – ask your supplier for exact opening hours.
- Besides national holidays, regions have their own days off, such as 11 September in Catalonia.
- The warehouse will only release goods against a reference it recognises – the driver must carry the order or delivery note number.
