Where in Moravia, Silesia and Slovakia do we deliver?
Most deliveries go to warehouses and production sites in industrial zones on the edge of towns, where an articulated truck can get in without difficulty. In Brno these are mainly the sites around Modřice and the D52 motorway, the Černovice Terrace (Černovická terasa) and the business zones by the D1 exits towards Vyškov and Jihlava. For the city centre and residential districts, where heavy goods vehicles face access restrictions, we send a smaller vehicle.
| Delivery area | Towns | Usual approach |
|---|---|---|
| Brno and surroundings | Brno, Modřice, Pohořelice, Vyškov | D1 from Prague, or from Vienna on the D52 |
| South Moravia | Břeclav, Hodonín, Mikulov, Znojmo | direct from Vienna, no detour via Brno |
| Vysočina | Jihlava | D1 from Prague, before reaching Brno |
| Central Moravia | Olomouc, Prostějov, Přerov | from Brno on the D1 and D46 |
| Eastern Moravia | Zlín and surroundings | via Brno, or from Vienna via Břeclav and Hodonín |
| Silesia | Ostrava and surroundings | from Brno on the D1, about 170 km |
| Western Slovakia | Bratislava, Trnava, Nitra, Trenčín | direct from Vienna, from Brno on the D2 |
Which roads do trucks use to reach Moravia?
A truck enters Moravia from one of two directions. From the west it follows the D1 from Prague past Jihlava to Brno. From the south it comes from Vienna through the border crossing at Mikulov and reaches the southern edge of Brno on road I/52 and the D52 motorway. From there it continues according to the delivery address:
- to Prostějov and Olomouc on the D1 as far as Vyškov, then on the D46,
- to Přerov and Ostrava further along the D1; the D35 also links Olomouc to the D1 near Lipník nad Bečvou,
- to Břeclav and Bratislava on the D2,
- for Znojmo, Břeclav and Hodonín the truck does not need Brno at all and runs straight from Vienna.
We allow for drivers’ hours: if the truck only passes Brno in the afternoon, an Ostrava delivery often moves to the next morning, and you will see that in the quote.
How is the delivery time agreed?
Most warehouses in Moravia receive trucks in time slots, and larger sites use a slot booking system. When you book, please give us the slot, a goods-in contact and any booking reference. The day before delivery we confirm the expected arrival time and the vehicle registration; on the day we update the time based on the truck’s position. If the truck is running late, we tell you straight away rather than after the slot has passed.
For long-distance consignments we suggest keeping some leeway on the arrival day. Trucks over 7.5 t may not run in the Czech Republic on Sundays and public holidays from 13:00 to 22:00, so we deliver on weekdays.

What if the warehouse has no loading dock?
We choose the vehicle to match how your site unloads:
- From the side – the curtainsider opens along its side and the pallets are lifted off by forklift. You need level, firm ground beside the truck.
- With a tail lift – a platform at the rear lowers each pallet to the ground. Suited to smaller vehicles and lighter pallets, so we need the weight of the heaviest one.
- At a dock – the trailer reverses on and pallets come off by pallet truck. The quickest option.
Preparing your site and the paperwork at handover are covered in detail on unloading in Brno.
Groupage or a full truck?
| Volume | Type of transport | What it means for delivery |
|---|---|---|
| 1–6 pallets | groupage | the truck serves several consignees on the way, so transit takes longer |
| 7–18 pallets | part load or a smaller rigid truck | a smaller vehicle reaches businesses in town more easily |
| from about 18 pallets or 7 t | full 13.6 m trailer, 33 pallets | the truck comes straight to you with no other stops |
How do you book a delivery?
- Enter the collection point, delivery point and number of pallets in the price calculator. Add your time slot and whether you have a loading dock.
- During office hours you receive a binding quote by email within 30 minutes, with the collection day and expected delivery day.
- You confirm the quote by replying to the email.
- We book a vehicle with a contracted haulier, agree the collection with your supplier and pre-advise the arrival at your site.
- After unloading we send the signed CMR consignment note and the invoice.
What to tell your supplier, and who pays for transport under your delivery terms, is explained on how to book an import to Moravia.
Why a forwarder based in South Moravia?
Our planning desk is in South Moravia, between Brno, Vienna and Bratislava, right on the routes most trucks take into the region. We have been in international forwarding since 2011. We do not own trucks, which lets us pick, for each consignment, a vehicle from one of over 500 contracted hauliers that is genuinely heading for Moravia or Slovakia. One planner handles the job from quote to delivery.
